Equine Cryotherapy is a wellness focused cold therapy that helps horses with muscle recovery, reduces inflammation and enhances performance. It delivers targeted pressurized co2 to specific areas of the horse. When tissue becomes irritated, blood vessels dilate and fluid builds up. Cryotherapy counteracts this process by constricting blood vessels (vasoconstriction) reduces swelling and limits further inflammation. By lowering tissue temperature the cooling decreases metabolic activity, slowing the inflammatory cascade.
